According to the Intuit Payroll Survey released this week, “44 percent of small business plan to hire within 12 months.” Are you part of that 44%? With your limited time and budget, are you concerned about hiring the right person?
Corey Myers-Fouts runs Strings, a costume and swimwear store in Las Vegas. To meet the demand of her growing company, Corey needed to hire employees to help run her store. Based on her experience, Myers-Fouts said, “a possible employer should always do a reference check”. This allows the hiring manager to speak to past employers to find out an applicant’s work ethic, how well they work with others, their strengths and weaknesses.
